ANDREW COLLINS TRIO November 25, 2016

We are thrilled to have the Andrew Collins Trio in concert at Carlin Hall.  Andrew Collins continues to be a ‘mover and shaker’ in the acoustic music movement that pushes the boundaries of traditional music; earning five Canadian Folk Music Awards and five Juno nominations along the way. Andrew, along with Mike Mezzatesta and James McEleney, are committed to the innovation of acoustic music that blurs the lines between bluegrass, jazz, old-time, folk, celtic, and classical music.  You will most definitely want to take in their performance on Friday, November 25 at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are available online by clicking on the link below.  You are encouraged to get your tickets early in order to ensure a seat!  There will be a limited number of tickets available at the door.

Private lessons and/or a workshop on arranging music within your band/group are in the works.

Update: Private lessons on Friday November 25:  Mandolin lessons are full,  1 Bass slot left (choice of either 2:00 – 3:00 or 3:00 to 4:00), Guitar has two slots:  2:00 – 3:00 or 3:00 to 4:00.

For music lovers and players of all levels of experience there are still spots available for the Arranging Music workshop on Saturday morning 10:00 am – noon.  In this two hour workshop Andrew, Mike and James will discuss different techniques for evolving and arranging songs.  During the first have, the trio will demonstrate/discuss some of their arrangements, and how they were arrived at.  They will include such things as harmonies, intros, outs and dynamics.
