Dan and Laurel delighted the crowd at Carlin on July 22. Their two 40 minute sets featured songs from their recent CDs “New Disguise” and “Dan & Laurel”. Their energy, winsome personalities and toe tapping rhythms kept the audience engaged with every song.
Here’s a video from the concert of their performance of “Saturday Night Will Be Rocking” from their latest CD “New Disguise“:
During their second set, Laurel related a story about hiking and coming upon a rattlesnake coiled up on the path in front of her. She backed away and took a different path. Through this experience, a melody came to her. Later, Dan added the guitar chords and “Ghost Lover’s Waltz“ came to be. This song is also from their album “New Disguise“. Give it a listen. You’ll be glad you did.
